Monel 400 Rods

With years of knowledge and experience in this domain, we are involved in offering an excellent assortment of Monel 400 and K500 Rods that is widely used for various applications. These alloys are thoroughly fabricated at our vendors ultra-modern production unit using the superior quality raw material and pioneering technology in conformation with defined quality norms. Being a quality-focused firm, we assure our patrons that these alloys are excellent on counts of quality and durability.

Alloy 400 is widely used in many fields, especially

marine and chemical processing. Typical applications

are valves and pumps; pump and propeller shafts;

marine fixtures and fasteners; electrical and electronic

components; springs; chemical processing equipment;

gasoline and fresh water tanks; crude petroleum stills,

process vessels and piping; boiler feedwater heaters and

other heat exchangers; and deaerating heaters

Monel 400 is a nickel-copper alloy (about 23% Cu–67% Ni ) that is resistant to sea water and steam at high temperatures as well as to salt and caustic solutions. Alloy 400 is a solid solution alloy that can only be hardened by cold working. This nickel alloy exhibits characteristics like good weldability, good corrosion resistance and high strength. A low corrosion rate in rapidly flowing brackish or seawater combined with excellent resistance to stress-corrosion cracking in most freshwaters, and its resistance to a variety of corrosive conditions led to its wide use in marine applications and other non-oxidizing chloride solutions. This nickel alloy is particularly resistant to hydrofluoric and hydrochloric acids when they are de-aerated. As would be expected from its high copper content, alloy 400 is rapidly attacked by nitric acid and ammonia systems

UNS N04400 Nickel Alloy 400 and Monel® 400, also known as UNS N04400, is a ductile, nickel-copper based alloy comprised essentially of two-thirds nickel and one third copper. Nickel Alloy 400 is known for resistance to a variety of corrosive conditions, including alkalies (or acid like substances), saltwater, hydrofluoric acid and sulfuric acid. Other advantages of using this alloy are its toughness and high strength over a broad temperature range; it can also be manipulated to become magnetic if desired.
